DIY / Bow Back Tee

I am always looking for new DIY ideas on the internet to revamp some of my old, boring items. I recently found this one and I am obsessed with it! Hope you enjoy...

What you will need: - A tee of your choice
                                  - Fabric scissors or a rotary cutter
                                  - A pen/ pencil to make markings
                                  - Needle and thread (corresponding to the colour of your tee)
                                  - Clear nail varnish
                                  - Piece of cardboard

Step 1: Cut around 2/3 inches off the bottom of you tee, put this to one side to use later.

Step 2: Turn the shirt over and place the cardboard in the middle to ensure you do not cut through to the front. Measure marks around 3/4 inches apart down the side and then cut straight lines right across.

Step 3: Using the strip of material that you cut off from the bottom of the tee, cut it in to around 5 or 6 strips each around an half an inch wide.

Step 4: Pinch the middle of the panels of fabrics and with one of the strips of fabric wrap it round the middle.
Secure these in place with a needle and thread. Start your stitching with a double stitch to make it more secure.

Step 5: Coat the raw edges of the fabric with clear nail varnish, this will protect them from fraying when washed.

Haul #1

Just a few bits I picked up today - apologies for the iffy camera quality!

These boots are new in to Topshop (buy here) and I was so surprised to see the price of £40. Obviously that's quite a bit of money but usually Topshop shoes are pretty pricey. Hopefully the quality will be as good as any other shoes I have had from Topshop. FYI if you are wanting to get your hands on these I would recommend getting the soon as they came in store the day I got them and already had limited stock.

I also quickly stopped in to Zara and Mac as I was passing. The Zara sale is amazing and I could have bought almost the entire shop but I restricted my self to one thing because I'm on a budget!

I picked up this gorgeous green top in Zara. The colour really caught my eye and I loved the back of it. This and about another 5 tables of tops were in the sale for £5.99!

My local shopping centre finally came to their senses and put a MAC counter in Debenhams. I restricted my self in here also but make up is my weakness.

I picked up the Cremesheen lipstick in "Creme Cup" after reading that Kim Kardashian is a fan - me being a sucker for anything Kardashian related rushed out to buy it! Im impressed even after using it only a couple of times - the colour is really natural and it seems to last for a decent amount of time.

I also bought this bronzing powder (I actually did need one) in the shade "Matte Bronze". The non-matte one looked really shimmery and I didn't want to end up looking like a disco ball. The colour seems to suit my skin tone and it also stays in place through out the day.

      3. Burgundy Peplum top - Topshop - £20

Beauty Pick / Nails

When I was travelling home from a recent holiday, I decided to take advantage of  the "duty free" prices. I spotted these lovelies for a major bargain!

The Models Own nail varnishes are usually £5 each from Boots but I got 5 colours and a clear top coat for £20! I could't possibly let such a good deal go by.
My first impressions are pretty good. Being the girl that I am, I tend to gravitate towards anything that glitters or is brightly coloured - perfect! Although they are not the thickest nail varnishes I have ever tried, with two coats they are as good as any. The colours are even more gorgeous in true form and the glitter is even more glittery!
